Regina Planning Commission Announces Okimâsis Park

This is wonderful news. Dr. Jean Okimâsis has worked on her Cree language for many years, including teaching at SIFC/FNUniv for 20 years, honorary co-founder of the Cree Literacy Network, and twice being the head of the FNU languages programs.

It’s really thrilling to see the language warriors we admire recognized for the work they have diligently continued. Congratulations, Jean! I’m so proud they’re naming this for you!
