I was gifted copies of this dictionary in print by a community member – it’s a beauty. I’m excited to hear the audio now as well (and understand why Moose Cree friends laugh at my pronunciation of sâkahikan, among other things!)

The group has chosen some minor deviations from Western SRO: omitting length mark on ê, and using spaces (instead of hyphens) for grammatical preverbs, but the spelling is phonologically sound and prepared with great care. Beautiful work!

I love the idea of the talking dictionary. Is this the pronunciation on the Moose Cree Online Dictionary site? I don’t see a link on the Talking Dictionary site? Miigwech for all the work and effort of so many to help preserve these words and language.
I’m afraid that post was written quite some time ago – it refers to the first print edition of the dictionary, which has morphed into a magnificent, enormous, fourth edition that launched last month. I’m not sure why the Moose Cree dictionary was removed from this platform, but I do know that simultaneous maintenance and continued development of two parallel platforms is a superhuman feat. Perhaps Moose Cree will return to the spoken format at some time in the future.
I appreciate the update. I use the online regularly and was gifted the third edition from a cousin I visited in Moose Factory.
