Bighorn Sheep

Thanks to Les Skinner for sharing some new vocabulary today via FaceBook, along with his photo of Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep, and the terminology he learned from asinîwacîwiyiniwak (Rocky Mountain people) nearby:

‘mâyatihkwak’ isiyîhkâsowak: They are called ‘mâyatihkwak’

The local word he was taught for mountain goat is wâpatihk (lit., “white caribou”).
