2022 Resource Catalog from LLRIB (th-dialect)

The Cree Resource Unit of Lac La Ronge Indian Band Education doesn’t get nearly as much attention as it deserves. With typical Cree humility, the members of the team, led by veteran language warrior Minnie McKenzie, and with technical support from Charlie Venne, are far too busy getting all the work done.

One new discovery (for me, at least) is its website learncree.ca that offers a variety of interactive language learning activities that include audio, video, and even animation. Some of the work has its roots in the much-missed Gift of Language and Culture program that created so much good language revitalization energy in Onion Lake.

They’ve also published a new PDF catalog this past summer that offers all kinds of classroom resources for sale, including posters, unit plans, books and even clothing.
