September 21 & 22, 2021
Annually, SICC hosts its First Nations Language Keepers Gathering (FNLKG). It is the leading national gathering devoted to preserving, promoting and protecting First Nations languages and cultures.
It brings together academics, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, master speakers, educators, community leaders and students from across Canada and the United States.
In its 15th year, 2021 will be an online virtual gathering hosted in Saskatoon at Prairieland Park open to anyone at no cost.
The theme is Our Sacred Languages Walk With Us.
We are excited to share our keynotes, Dr. Herman Michell and Ramona A Billette with the ever popular Elders Panel and Learners Panel and 8 workshops to be announced shortly. And watch out for youth ambassador Sienna Deschambault!
