Kevin Lewis – UofS Indigenous Languages Certificate

This is a really nice piece to share about the Indigenous Languages Certificate at University of Saskatchewan, led by our friend and language warrior wâsakâyâsiw (Kevin) Lewis, who is also founder of kâniyâsihk Culture Camps at Ministikwan Lak. Kevin’s work is a joy to watch from afar, but he also clearly enjoys it:

“It’s been so great to teach these students, it’s felt so easy. The people that have a passion for language are joining the ILC, they want to learn how to write in syllabics, they want to learn song, they want to learn the different dances from powwow and ceremony,” said wâsakâyâsiw Lewis.
