It’s been a while since we’ve had one of Solomon Ratt’s made-up stories. This one is about how Sasquatch walked on water!

He wanted to cross it so he began to swim. Toward the middle of the ocean he became tired, perhaps he'll drown. |

| "îh, nisîmî," itwîw mistâpîw, "mahti-kitimâkinawin. mistahi ninîstosin ikwa namôtha ninôhtî-nistâpâwân. kakî-âsowahothin nâ?" | "Hey, younger sibling," says Sasquatch. "Please take pity on me. I am getting tired and I don't want to drown. Can you take me across?" |
| "âhâw, nistîsî," itwîw miskinâhk, "ispâhtawîw nispiskwanihk. kika-âsowahothitin. nîpawi nispiskwanihk ikosi nawac kika-kisîkocininaw." | "Okay, older brother," says the turtle. "Climb on my back. I'll take you across. But stand up so in that way we can go faster." |
| ikwâni ikosi kâ-itôtahk wîsahkîcâhk. ispahtawîw ospiskwanithihk miskinâhkwa, î-âsowahothikot. | And so that is what wîsahkîcâhk does. He climbs on the back of the turtle, standing on his back, as it carries him across. |
