We’re always proud when friends and collaborators give wings to projects that begin here. Earlier this year, Charlie Venne (who produces original Cree language content at First Nation Stories) asked Solomon Ratt for a story to go with a drawing of a snowy owl that he’d shared online. Sol responded with an adaptation (in th-dialect) of a Commanche story. Despite some technological challenges (and there are always technological challenges) Charlie kî-âhkamêyimow: he persisted. This week at First Nation Stories, he presented this brand new animation, which we’re proud to share here with his permission, featuring Sol’s original drawings, story and audio recording.
