Sweetgrass Elder Wes Fineday and Lakeland College Instructor Charlene Bonnar together captured this series of conversations on camera for all of us to witness. The one I was privileged to preview last year was powerful, gritty, and beautifully produced. I’m truly looking forward to the rest of the collection.
The conversations were filmed with the support of Telus Storyhive program. Beginning with the Launch Event on April 8th, they will be available via STORYHIVE’s YouTube channel. They will release the first 2 episodes of all projects on April 8, and 1 episode per week following. Please see the release schedule below.
According to Charlene Bonnar: “the in-person event will promote the release of the podcast on YouTube and Telus Optik TV. The drum group who recorded for us will play, I will talk a bit about the project, we will share some video highlights on the big screen, and Wes will have an opportunity to speak.”
I’m a little envious of those in the neighbourhood of Lloydminster, who can be there in person!
