Word searches to print and enjoy, gathered all together into a single PDF that you can download. Keep a copy as a vocabulary reference, if you like, or print fresh copies any time to challenge yourself again. Work on your own, or print off a copy for your favourite fellow language-learner, and challenge them to a race.
- There are eight different puzzles, with eight corresponding answer pages.
- Use the up- and down-arrows on the top (or bottom) grey bars below to page through the whole document.
- Click the file folder icon on the grey bar to download the file. (Bonus points if you notice and remember where your computer saves the file.)
- The answer pages show the answers in red (on screen, or if you use a colour printer). And although English terms aren’t part of the search, they are listed below each puzzle in the same order as the Cree terms (listed above).
As an extra bonus, Sol has provided audio files to help teach pronunciation of each puzzle’s word list. Scroll down past the PDF file to find them.
Word puzzles are fun any time of year – but I can’t help thinking (this week before Christmas) what a nice surprise it would be for a Cree language learner to print out this set, roll them up together and tie them with a ribbon. Heck. I might even try that and surprise myself! lol!
With thanks to Solomon Ratt, who, despite all the hullabaloo about retirement, just can’t stop inspiring the rest of us. He makes a great example: Never stop playing with your language!
