NOW, what’s interesting is that some time ago, Tyrone Tootoosis came across a book that was a published journal of one of the earliest Europeon “Explorers” who hired Cree guides and travelled the northern tributaries/rivers of what became Northern Saskatchewan….in this journal the Explorer wrote that the Cree guides had told him the story of the Swimming Stone……….on their way west the Explorer noted the exact place the Swimming Stone was located…however, on their return journey, the Explorer was incredulous upon finding that the Swimming Stone was now on the opposite shore of the river……..if I find the name of the book and name of the Explorer, I will post it.
